It’s Stress & Anxiety Season

We’re experiencing a time like no other in our history. Coping during this pandemic can be very challenging for us all.

As if it’s not stressful enough that so many working parents are working from home these days, our children are getting their education from home also. The COVID pandemic has made sitting at our kitchen table and staring at a Zoom video conference on a screen the “new normal.” This has caused a lot of stressed out adults. If you’re one of those individuals who are just trying to keep your head above water these days, acupuncture and other Chinese healing treatments might be just what the doctor ordered.

A recent survey by OnePoll reported in the New York Post, found that 60% of parents are so stressed about the back-to-school season they lose sleep. Of the 2,000 parents of kids ages 5-18, 57% said it is the most stressful time of the year for them. This year has likely seen a spike in that statistic because of all the added pressure of being concerned about the health and the health of our loved ones.

Acupuncture is a great way to decompress and feel less stressed.  Acupuncture calms the sympathetic nervous system (our “fight or flight” response), and deepens our relaxation states, very effectively relieving stress. Therefore, since Spring is the season associated with stress, NOW is the best and most effective time to help relieve it through acupuncture!
