Traditional Chinese Medicine
Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) is a complete medical system like its western counterpart. While western medicine uses pharmacy to control and manage the symptoms of serious diseases which often continue indefinitely, TCM holistically diagnoses and treats the underlying reason that gives rise to disease symptoms and attempts a finite treatment. This holistic viewpoint considers your spiritual wellbeing as having an effect on physical well being.
Acupuncture is a 3,000-year- old therapy used for pain relief but has far wider applications to treat the multitude of medical conditions seen in our society. The procedure places sterile, thin, flexible needles into the body at well- established anatomic markers to treat the Chinese medical diagnosis you will receive at your first visit. The energetic imbalances are carefully redirected to a healthy normal energy state that allow complete health to resume.
Chinese herbal medicine can be used as a complementary therapeutic modality to acupuncture. Herbal medicine is an in-depth study of naturally occurring substances found all around us and how these substances correct imbalances within the body. Chinese herbs are derived from plants, animal by products, fruits, stones & flowers. Dana's studied these herbs and their constituents so they can be combined to create an individualized formula.
